Top-Secret US Intel on Israel’s Military Plans Leaked on Pro-Iranian Telegram Channel, Raising Alarms

A recent leak of classified US intelligence on Israel’s military plans has surfaced on a pro-Iranian Telegram channel, leading to concerns about espionage, incompetence, or an intentional leak within the US government.

The top-secret information reportedly includes two detailed reports by the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency, revealing Israel’s planned retaliation against a recent Iranian missile attack. These reports expose sensitive details, including the aircraft, munitions, and military exercises tied to Israel’s strategy.

This leak represents a significant blow to the US-Israel alliance, especially as Israel navigates a multi-front war and faces criticism from the Biden administration. While espionage between allies is not unheard of, this sabotage raises serious questions. The possibility that the leak could further empower Tehran, jeopardising Israel’s defence, has heightened concerns.

The leaks are thought to originate within the US government, as this sensitive intel is exclusive to US agencies. Suspended Iran special envoy Robert Malley has been linked to classified material stored on his devices, which were compromised by a “hostile cyber actor.” Malley’s previous ties to the pro-Iran group, Iran Experts Initiative, and other administration figures like Ariane Tabatabai, who still hold high-level positions, have cast additional scrutiny on potential security lapses.

Moreover, the Biden administration has expressed concern over Israel’s anticipated response to the Iranian missile attack. Key officials, including President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, have reportedly delayed weapons shipments to Israel and urged restraint in its military operations. Secretary of State Antony Blinken recently threatened to cut military aid, while Harris acknowledged a heckler’s claim that Israel is committing genocide as “real.”

As tensions grow, the leak has led to fears that Israel may withhold further sensitive intelligence from Washington until the current US administration exits.
