Pennsylvania Mother Shares Encounter With Trump at McDonald’s Drive-Thru, Expresses Concern Over U.S.-Brazil Comparison
A Pennsylvania mother, who was served by former President Donald Trump at a McDonald’s drive-thru after his rally, shared a special request she made during the encounter.
Trump made an unexpected stop at a Feasterville-Trevose McDonald’s on Sunday, surprising drive-thru customers by serving them french fries. Among the customers was Nayara Andrejczyk, whose interaction with the former president quickly went viral online. Andrejczyk, a mother and immigrant from Brazil, took the opportunity to ask Trump for one favor.
“Mr. President, please don’t let the U.S. become Brazil, my native Brazil, please,” Andrejczyk said as Trump handed her the food.
Trump responded by assuring her, “We’re gonna make it better than ever, ok?” He then shook her hand and continued to greet the crowd gathered around the drive-thru.
In an interview with Fox News on Monday, Andrejczyk, who moved to the U.S. 26 years ago, explained her concerns, citing Brazil’s political situation. She shared that her family had suffered from corruption in Brazil, which led them to move to the U.S. nearly 30 years ago.
“My parents were victims of Brazilian corruption, government corruption. My mom lost a pretty successful business… and that’s the reason why we moved to the United States,” she said. “I love this country, and I don’t want to see it become the corrupt sewage that Brazil is at this moment.”
Andrejczyk attended Trump’s campaign event but had no idea the former president would personally serve her until she heard the cheers from cars ahead of her. She described her encounter with Trump as a meaningful experience for her and her children.
“He looked us in the eye, greeted my children, and it was incredible,” she said. “My kids were saying, ‘I can’t believe I shook Donald Trump’s hand.’”
However, the event sparked criticism, with some accusing Trump’s appearance at the McDonald’s drive-thru of being staged. Supporters, including Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance, defended the former president, pointing out the security risks he faces.
“There have been two attempts on his life in the last eight weeks,” Vance said during a Fox News interview. “Of course, he has to have security, but he was there interacting with people and showing genuine interest. That’s something you can’t stage.”
The McDonald’s stop occurred shortly after Trump claimed that Vice President Kamala Harris had lied about her previous work at the fast food chain.
