Donald Trumps sentencing in his conviction tied to hush money payments could be delayed or the conviction could be dismissed today by a Manhattan judge
Manhattan, NY – Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg is set to make a pivotal decision Tuesday regarding former President Donald Trump’s sentencing in a case tied to hush money payments to a porn star.

Bragg may opt to delay Trump’s sentencing, currently scheduled for November 26, or dismiss the case altogether as he prepares to launch his campaign for a return to the White House.

The former president, convicted earlier this year for concealing a payoff intended to suppress a sex scandal before the 2016 presidential election, faces uncertain consequences depending on Bragg’s decision. Any move to delay or dismiss the case would require approval from Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan.

Such an outcome could leave Trump, now 78, largely untouched by the legal challenges that once loomed over his candidacy, including four criminal cases poised to derail his political ambitions.

In a parallel development, Justice Merchan is also expected to rule Tuesday on a defence request to overturn Trump’s May conviction. The appeal hinges on a July U.S. Supreme Court decision granting immunity to presidents for “official acts” performed in office. Trump’s legal team has argued that the trial was irreparably compromised by evidence presented from his first term in the White House.

The combined legal manoeuvres come at a critical juncture, as Trump seeks to solidify his political comeback while navigating the fallout from his legal entanglements.
