WASHINGTON – House Republicans are escalating their probe into whether former White House physician Dr. Kevin O’Connor concealed President Joe Biden’s cognitive decline, with Rep. Ronny Jackson (R-Texas) claiming O’Connor was instrumental in what he calls “a massive cover-up” of the president’s mental fitness.

Jackson, a physician who served in the White House Medical Unit under three presidents before entering Congress, told The Post that O’Connor possessed critical medical information about Biden that was withheld from the public.

“Dr. Kevin O’Connor will be implicated in this cover-up. He’s a central figure,” Jackson asserted. “He was likely administering medications to manage Biden’s cognitive issues without disclosure. The American people were kept in the dark.”
Jackson, who now chairs the House Intelligence Committee’s Oversight and Investigations subcommittee, suggested O’Connor prioritized protecting the Biden family over transparency. “Having known him for years, I believe he would say or do anything to shield them, regardless of professional ethics,” he added.
Parkinson’s Specialist’s White House Visits Under Scrutiny
Visitor logs show Dr. Kevin Cannard, a Parkinson’s disease specialist from Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, made eight visits to the White House between July 2023 and March 2024. While O’Connor stated only three involved Biden for routine physicals, the frequency has raised questions.

When asked if the visits were concerning, O’Connor told The Post last July: “No, he’s good.” But Biden’s repeated memory lapses, confusion of names and dates, and poor debate performance have fueled skepticism.

Special Counsel Robert Hur notably declined to prosecute Biden in a classified documents case, partly citing the president’s “poor memory” and describing him as a “sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man.”
Medical Experts Weigh In
Dr. Tom Pitts, a neurologist, analyzed Biden’s June 2024 debate performance and told NBC News he observed symptoms consistent with neurological decline, including:
- Rigidity in movement
- Shuffling gait
- Markedly slow responses
“I could’ve diagnosed him from across the Mall,” Pitts said, suggesting Parkinson’s was a likely explanation.
Internal White House Concerns Surface
Behind the scenes, Democratic officials reportedly held private discussions about Biden’s mental sharpness, with some aides preparing contingency plans in case he “died in office.” Concerns peaked after his disastrous June 27 debate, which longtime aide Ron Klain called a “disaster.”
In a now-viral moment, Jill Biden was seen reassuring her husband post-debate: “Joe, you did such a great job! You answered every question!”—a remark critics called delusional.
Controversial Pardons and the Autopen Controversy
The Heritage Foundation analyzed Biden’s last-minute pardons—including those for Dr. Anthony Fauci and Jan. 6 Committee members—and found some were signed using an autopen. White House sources denied wrongdoing but acknowledged aides may have had discretion over the device.

Additionally, on his final day in office, Biden granted clemency to his brother, James Biden, shielding him from potential prosecution related to a failed hospital venture linked to fraud allegations. O’Connor reportedly had business ties to the project.

Congressional Investigation Expands
Jackson vowed that the House Oversight Committee would pursue accountability for those who “lied to the public.”
“I warned in 2020 that Biden wasn’t fit for office,” Jackson said. “Now we’re uncovering how deep the deception went.”
This remains a developing story as House Republicans continue their investigation.
