Newly single Sydney Sweeney is turning heads with her flirty public appearances alongside Glen Powell, fueling rumors of a budding romance just weeks after ending her engagement to longtime fiancé, Jonathan Davino.

The 27-year-old Emmy-nominated actress, best known as Cassie Howard on HBO’s “Euphoria,” has been closely linked with Powell, her co-star in the hit romantic comedy.
“Anyone But You.” Fans have noted the eerie similarities between the film and real life, mainly when Sweeney attended Powell’s sister’s wedding in Dallas last weekend, echoing the plot of their movie.

Are Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell Dating?
While fans continue to speculate, a source close to Powell told The Post, “Would they be a great couple? Yeah — but nothing romantic is going on there.”

However, Powell appeared to fan the flames of speculation during an interview on NBC’s TODAY Show when host Jenna Bush Hager hinted at Sweeney’s presence at the wedding. Laughing, Powell responded, “Timing is everything in this world.”

The pair were also spotted dining at Joe Leo’s Fine Tex Mex in Dallas, adding to the buzz. Despite their chemistry, insiders insist that Powell is not pursuing a new relationship so soon after Sweeney’s breakup with Davino.

Sweeney made her first public appearance since the breakup at CinemaCon 2025 in Las Vegas, stunning in a white corseted gown that drew comparisons to a runaway bride. The actress and Davino, who got engaged in 2022, reportedly hit a rough patch in early 2025, ultimately calling off their wedding, which was scheduled for May.

A source told People, “What did make her overwhelmed, though, was her relationship and her wedding. She didn’t feel right about it.”

Clues about the split began surfacing in February when Sweeney was seen staying alone at the Beverly Hills Hotel, and again in March when she attended Miu Miu’s Fall 2025 Paris Fashion Week show solo. Most notably, she removed a photo of herself kissing Davino from her Instagram in January.

While her life garners headlines, Sydney Sweeney’s career is on fire. With six film and TV projects slated for 2025, the actress is reprising her acclaimed role on “Euphoria” Season 3. She will star in Netflix’s highly anticipated adaptation of “The Housemaid,” a psychological thriller with franchise potential.

She will also portray real-life boxer Christy Martin in one upcoming film and take on the role of Hollywood legend Kim Novak in another. Additionally, Sweeney is serving as a producer on multiple new projects.
“She’s all about working right now and is very excited about all her projects,” a source told People.
Glen Powell’s Career Surge After ‘Top Gun: Maverick’
Glen Powell, 36, has also seen a significant rise in popularity since starring in “Top Gun: Maverick” alongside Tom Cruise. Although the film was delayed due to the pandemic, its eventual success helped Powell gain widespread recognition.

“I’d never made a significant amount of money on a movie, including ‘Top Gun,'” he admitted to The Hollywood Reporter, adding that the delay nearly drained his savings.

Now, Powell is expanding beyond acting. He recently launched Smash Kitchen, a line of gourmet condiments. Sources say Sweeney may attend his Los Angeles launch event this weekend, potentially fueling romance rumors.

Sweeney has earned critical acclaim and is also a favorite among Hollywood icons. Meg Ryan, who starred alongside her in a Super Bowl commercial, praised Sweeney’s charisma:
“She is game, and funny. Has terrific ideas. Not intimidated — respectful, silly and adorable. She was just great,” Ryan told The Post.
A Marketing Powerhouse Beyond Acting
Off-screen, Sweeney is in high demand for brand partnerships, leading campaigns for Hey Dude Shoes, Laneige Beauty, and Dr. Squatch. Her candidness about the challenges of sustaining a career in Hollywood, especially as a young woman, has made her even more relatable to fans.
“If I wanted to take a six-month break, I don’t have the income to cover that,” she said in a 2022 interview. “I don’t have anyone I can turn to, to pay my bills or call for help.”
