Southern Lebanon – In a surprising turn of events, a Hezbollah commander and his operatives were apprehended by Israeli troops while in their underwear during an October raid on their underground command center in southern Lebanon, according to military officials.

Newly released footage from the operation depicts Hassan Aqil Jawad, the leader of Hezbollah’s forces in Ayta ash Shab, as he is confronted by armed soldiers from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

The footage shows Jawad emerging from a dark tunnel and slowly walking down a corridor before raising his hands in surrender to the Israeli troops.

In a dramatic moment, Jawad then drops to the ground and crawls toward the IDF soldiers, who subsequently take him into custody.

Several other Hezbollah operatives, also found in their underwear, were detained alongside him and later transported to Israel for interrogation.

IDF officials reported that the interrogation of Jawad and his men revealed critical information about Hezbollah’s operations, providing insights that guided subsequent military actions in southern Lebanon.

“During the interrogation, the terrorists detailed many terror infrastructures located in the Ayta ash Shab area,” an IDF spokesperson stated.

This intelligence allowed Israeli forces to effectively target and dismantle terror operations in the region while preparing for any potential threats.

The IDF has noted that since the commencement of its ground operations in southern Lebanon at the beginning of October, several more Hezbollah operatives have been captured. However, the Israeli military has not disclosed the total number of detainees since the offensive began.
