Jessica Parkinson, a 28-year-old Australian waitress who went missing in London on December 8, has been found safe and well, her relieved employer confirmed.
Jessica, originally from Queensland, was reported missing by her father after failing to make contact and missing shifts at Texas Joe’s, a barbecue restaurant near London Bridge.
Her unexplained disappearance raised concerns among staff and her boss, Joe Walters, who described her as reliable and hardworking.
Walters placed an appeal poster in the restaurant window, urging anyone with information to come forward. Speaking to Metro, he expressed relief, stating: “She has been in touch. She is OK, I’ve been told. It’s a big relief.”
Another staff member echoed his sentiments: “It’s a massive relief. Sometimes these situations don’t end well, but this time it did, and that’s just great.”
Jessica’s disappearance was accompanied by reported housing difficulties, which led her to stay in a hostel.
Walters mentioned that she had sent “cryptic” messages to friends before going missing. Her absence was described as “very out of character.”
The Metropolitan Police had been investigating her disappearance, with Jessica last seen in Bermondsey on December 8. Metro is awaiting further updates from authorities.
