Jessica Alves Talks About Her Kiss with Katie Price: “She Told Me I Was Beautiful”
Brazilian-British reality star Jessica Alves, formerly “The Human Ken Doll,” has shared her journey, friendship with TV personality Katie Price, and her decision to leave reality television.
At 41, Alves says she is finally at peace with herself, a place she feels she’s worked hard to achieve after years of public scrutiny and personal transformation.
In an exclusive interview, Alves revealed that she no longer finds reality shows appealing, calling them “draining” and heavily edited. “I find them very draining,” she said, adding that she’s done with the reality TV spotlight.
However, one aspect of her television career that she holds dear is her friendship with Price, whom she met seven years ago on the UK talk show ‘Loose Women’. At the time, Alves was a guest, and Price was a regular panellist. The two immediately connected over their experience with cosmetic procedures, exchanging numbers and forming a bond that has lasted ever since.
This friendship recently made headlines when Alves and Price shared a kiss at the UK Glamour Awards earlier this month. While some observers speculated about the kiss’s nature, Alves quickly clarified that it was a “friendly kiss” after a deep conversation between the two women. “We talked about love and relationships, and she said, ‘Jessica, you are so beautiful.
I love you so much,’” Alves explained. “It was a one-to-one conversation, and I kissed her back. Then, there were photographers there.” Alves, who has never had a romantic experience with a woman, reiterated that the kiss was a gesture of affection and support.
In their conversations, the two women often swap advice on relationships, with Alves offering Price guidance in the past, especially regarding her relationships. “She’s such a great mum, and you see her lows, but she always comes out on top,” Alves said, admiring Price’s resilience. “She’s a role model to so many women.” Alves also reflected on the advice Price had given her during her recent heartache, urging caution with her past relationship—advice that Alves now admits she should have listened to.
Alves, who has undergone numerous surgeries in her quest for self-fulfilment, expressed pride in embracing her femininity. “Being a woman is a gift—it’s the most amazing thing,” Alves shared. “I love every cell of my body and thank God daily for it.” Over the years, Alves has had 12 nose jobs, body modifications, and surgeries on her hands and feet. She admits it hasn’t been easy, with the procedures being painful, expensive, and risky.
However, she’s now content with her appearance and has no further plans for drastic surgeries. “I had a facelift two weeks ago, but I don’t plan on having any more surgeries,” she said. Now, she focuses on static treatments like skin tightening, lasers, hyaluronic acid, and fillers to maintain her look.
Although she has no plans to return to reality TV, Alves admitted she would consider joining Celebrity Big Brother again if given the opportunity. “I’ve been there, done that. Reality shows are not for me anymore,” she said. They’re heavily edited and draining.” However, she noted that she would return to Celebrity Big Brother to share her message with the public and help people get to know her better.
Looking ahead, Alves says she feels at peace with herself and is focused on living authentically. “I reached a point where I wasn’t happy, so I did everything I could to become the woman I wanted to be,” she said. “Now, I feel truly at peace with myself.”
