Cardi B Confirms Pregnancy with Third Child After Reported Divorce Filing from Husband
Cardi B has announced that she is expecting her third child, revealing the news on Instagram with a stunning photo of her baby bump.
This announcement comes shortly after reports emerged that the rapper has filed for divorce from her husband, Offset, for the second time.
In her Instagram post, Cardi B, 31, flaunted her growing bump in a bold red dress and shared a message reflecting on new beginnings. “With every ending comes a new beginning! I am so grateful to have shared this season with you,” Cardi wrote. “You have brought me more love, more life, and most of all, renewed my power!”
Fans quickly filled the comments section with congratulatory messages, celebrating Cardi’s exciting news. Deneelynette expressed enthusiasm, writing, “Cardi having another baby y’all!! That’s right, another little cutie,” while Vicholla added, “Strong for this. Yes, mama xoxo. Get up 10.”
The pregnancy announcement comes amid claims that Cardi B has filed for divorce from Offset, with whom she secretly married in 2017. Reports indicate Cardi filed the paperwork on Wednesday, seeking primary custody of their two children, Kulture and Wave. Sources suggest that the couple has grown apart rather than recent infidelity being the cause of their separation.
Cardi B and Offset’s relationship has seen several ups and downs. They first split in December 2018, shortly after the birth of their daughter Kulture, but reunited and welcomed their son Wave in 2021. Cardi had previously filed for divorce in 2020 but withdrew the filing shortly after.
During an Instagram Live session last year, the rapper had hinted at her struggles and desire for a fresh start, saying she had been “single for a minute now” and was looking forward to a new chapter in 2024.
Amid their turbulent relationship, Cardi and Offset were recently seen together at a Knicks game, and Offset reportedly showered Cardi with gifts on Mother’s Day, leading to speculation about the status of their relationship.
In a candid interview with Rolling Stone, Cardi reflected on the challenges of balancing her career and personal life, acknowledging that while they support each other, their relationship has been tested. “It’s not about ‘How do you leave a partner?’ How do you stop talking to your best friend?” she said.
As Cardi B prepares for her new arrival, the world watches how her personal and professional life will continue to unfold.
