YouTube star Andrew Cross has died at the age of 36 following a tragic car accident. The outdoor adventure content creator was taken off life support on Tuesday, over a month after suffering a traumatic brain injury in a collision on January 31.
His sister, Jenna, confirmed the news, describing his passing as “peaceful and full of love”, surrounded by his wife Evelyn, parents, and close friends.
Before Cross was removed from life support, medical staff honored him by lining the ICU hallway as his mobile ventilator was wheeled through. Family and friends prayed, read scripture, and sang during his final moments.

A GoFundMe campaign launched to support medical expenses has raised $488,967 (£379,147) so far. Cross, known as “D” sert Drifter” to his 474,000 YouTube subscribers, was known for his exploration and adventure videos featuring historical sites, including the Rocky Mountains and archaeological locations. Some clips have exceeded 3.5 million views.

His wife, Evelyn, had previously informed followers of his critical condition, saying, “A thing for his life from a severe brain injury.”
According to Mesa County Coroner’s office in Colorado, Cross was rear-ended at high speed while waiting at a stoplight. The suspect, Ragnar Nickolas Kristl, 37, has been charged with vehicular homicide, reckless driving, careless driving, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
