Tragedy struck Delaware County Linen in Chester, Pennsylvania, when a disgruntled former employee opened fire inside the store, resulting in two deaths and three injuries.
The shooting occurred at the family-run establishment, known for its full-service linen offerings to various businesses such as restaurants, country clubs, and hotels.
Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer addressed the media at the scene, lamenting the all-too-familiar occurrence of workplace violence in the United States.
He urged the community to offer prayers for the victims, emphasising the seriousness of their conditions as they receive medical treatment.
The suspected shooter has been apprehended, and Stollheimer described the incident as an “absolute tragedy.” However, the identity of the shooter has not been disclosed at this time.
Stollheimer expressed sorrow over the loss of lives and the devastating impact on those affected.
One victim remains in critical condition, highlighting the severity of the situation. The community is left reeling from yet another senseless act of violence in a place meant for daily work and routine.
