Sydney Thomas, the ring girl who stole the spotlight during Jake Paul’s fight against Mike Tyson last month, has quickly become a viral sensation — and even Jake Paul is a fan.
The fight, held at AT&T Stadium and streamed live on Netflix, drew 60 million viewers. Amid the excitement, Thomas caught widespread attention, and Jake Paul took notice, too.
Speaking to People, Thomas shared that Paul encouraged her during the fight, telling her, “Keep doing your thing. You’re doing a great job.”
After the about, Thomas took to Instagram to express her gratitude, saying, “I woke up to overwhelming love and support from all of you.
I can’t thank you guys enough or begin to express how grateful I am. I love you all — thank you for your kind words.”
The attention wave doesn’t seem to be slowing down anytime soon. Thomas confirmed she will continue working with Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions for future events.
In another heartfelt post, she reflected on the surreal experience of being part of such a monumental fight:
“Getting the opportunity to step into the ring with @MikeTyson and @JakePaul for such a historic fight is something I never imagined I’d be able to say. Words can’t describe this moment or how grateful I am to be part of such an amazing team at @MostValuablePromotions. History was made, and I’m truly honoured to be part of it.”
Jake Paul ultimately won the fight against Tyson unanimously. Still, the night wasn’t just a victory for Paul — it marked a breakout moment for Thomas, who is now cementing her place in the spotlight alongside boxing’s biggest names.
