Pop star Katy Perry has revealed the unusual keepsake she’s held onto since discovering her pregnancy with her now 4-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom.
The “Roar” singer shared in a recent interview with Capital FM that she has kept the positive pregnancy test that first told her she was expecting her daughter with fiancé Orlando Bloom.
Reflecting on her most iconic Instagram moments, Perry joked, “Just all the most important things,” while reminiscing about the day she shared a photo of the test on her social media.
The Instagram post, captioned, “Here is my pee stick for one of my children, I conceived my daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom,” remains one of her most memorable uploads.
Katy recalled how she discovered her pregnancy while on a hike, and Orlando Bloom, known for his role as Legolas in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, wasn’t home at the time.
“I Facetimed him and said, ‘Guess what!’” she said, adding, “We had wished for her so much and set every intention, and we just got our biggest gift. It was the best decision I’ve ever made.”
The celebrity couple began dating in 2016 after meeting at a Golden Globes afterparty, quickly becoming one of Hollywood’s most adored pairs.
Orlando proposed to Katy in 2019, but their plans for a lavish 2020 wedding in Japan were delayed due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Now, five years after discovering they were expecting their daughter, Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom continue to cherish the life they’ve built together, with Perry holding onto the pregnancy test as a sentimental reminder of their journey to parenthood.
