TV presenter Eamonn Holmes, 64, was recently spotted on holiday in Ibiza with his new girlfriend, Katie Alexander, 42. The couple shared a public display of affection as they disembarked from a Virgin cruise ship, with Holmes placing his hand on Alexander’s bottom.
The loved-up pair were dressed in stylish attire, with Katie turning heads in a £315 designer black mini dress, £665 Christian Louboutin heels, and carrying a £850 Loewe raffia bag.
However, their post-cruise journey wasn’t without a hitch, as the couple was left waiting outside for their taxi for an hour.
During the wait, Holmes, who was in a wheelchair due to ongoing health issues, was swarmed by female admirers asking for selfies. Katie stepped in to support him, and the two shared a close moment before being whisked away to a restaurant for a night out with friends, where they enjoyed red wine priced at £500 a bottle.
Just days before, Holmes was seen on board the Virgin cruise ship Scarlet Lady, posing for photos with a group of women while sporting a playful pair of red heart sunglasses. Their luxury holiday came after The Sun on Sunday revealed that Holmes had taken Katie on the extravagant trip, a revelation that reportedly left his estranged wife, Ruth Langsford, 64, “gobsmacked.”
Holmes was seen using an electric wheelchair at Heathrow Airport before flying to Barcelona, where the new couple boarded the Virgin Voyager cruise to begin their Mediterranean adventure.
While Holmes and Alexander were enjoying their evening in Ibiza, Ruth Langsford shared a personal moment on Instagram. She revealed that her son, Jack Holmes, 22, had ordered her favourite curry to be waiting for her when she returned home to Surrey. She expressed her gratitude in a Friday night post, saying, “I love him for that.”
The high-profile holiday comes after Holmes and Langsford announced their split in May, ending their 14-year marriage, which shocked fans.
In recent years, Holmes has been dealing with multiple health issues, including a double hip replacement in 2016, back surgery in 2022, and a shoulder injury from a fall in January.
These challenges have left him reliant on walking aids and, more recently, a wheelchair. Four months after his shoulder injury, it was revealed that he had separated from Ruth.
Despite these personal and physical struggles, Holmes seems to enjoy his time with Katie, embracing his new relationship and the luxury of a Mediterranean cruise.
