Ruth Langsford made a poignant confession about her struggles with ageing on Monday’s Loose Women episode, as her estranged husband, Eamonn Holmes, embarked on a new relationship with Katie Alexander. The couple, both 64, shocked fans in May with their divorce announcement after 14 years of marriage.

Langsford, 64, discussed her feelings about ageing with panellists Coleen Nolan, 59, Brenda Edwards, 55, and Kelly Holmes, 54.

She admitted feeling self-conscious about her appearance since turning 60, saying, “When I hit 60, everything seemed to droop and sag. I notice it when I take a selfie, making me feel awful.”

Langsford’s emotional revelation comes as Eamonn Holmes, 64, has been publicly seen with his new girlfriend Katie Alexander, 42.

Holmes and Alexander have been spotted enjoying a late summer getaway in Spain and are reportedly “smitten” with each other. Despite still wearing their wedding rings, both parties are said to avoid removing them to avoid being blamed for the breakup.

Ruth (pictured in 2006) said she struggles ‘on this tightrope of trying hard to be the woman who doesn’t care about ageing’ but can’t help but feel ‘awful’ at times about her changing body.

A source told MailOnline, “Ruth is shocked by how open Eamonn is about his relationship, especially since they still wear their wedding rings.” The source also revealed that neither Langsford nor Holmes wanted to be the first to remove their rings.

Eamonn and Katie have recently been on holiday together. Holmes navigated through the airport in a mobility scooter.

The couple was also seen in Belfast, where they enjoyed several meals at a local restaurant.

Ruth was left in ‘shock’ by how open Eamonn has been about his new relationship with Katie, 21 years his junior, as they headed on a cruise together.

As Eamonn prepares to return to GB News Breakfast next week, his relationship with Katie appears to be progressing. They are discussing publicising their relationship and potentially sharing their first official photos.
