Cristiano Ronaldo and Conor McGregor were seen at ringside during the ‘Day of Reckoning’ boxing event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
The event featured Anthony Joshua facing Otto Wallin as the main attraction, while Deontay Wilder took on former world champion Joseph Parker. A victory for Joshua and Wilder could set the stage for a March significant event in Saudi Arabia.
Ronaldo, who recently joined Al-Nassr in the Saudi Pro League, arrived during the show, sitting alongside Turki al-Sheikh, the head of Saudi’s General Entertainment Authority (GEA). McGregor joined later in the evening, taking a seat next to Ronaldo.
This isn’t Ronaldo’s first appearance at a boxing event; he was previously seen watching Tyson Fury’s narrow victory over Francis Ngannou in October. Ronaldo witnessed Daniel Dubois securing a final-round knockout against Jarrell Miller.
After recovering from a defeat to Oleksandr Usyk, Dubois redeemed himself with an impressive win over the American. The event also featured notable upsets, including Agit Kabayel knocking out Arslanbek Makhmudov and Jai Opetaia’s one-punch knockout of Ellis Zorro.
Filip Hrgovic dominated Mark de Mori in a quick match, while Frank Sanchez started the night with a knockout victory over Junior Fa. The media extensively covered the event, and for more stories like this, check out Metro Sport’s Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram pages.
