China has issued a stark warning to the United States, declaring it is prepared for ‘any type of war’, just as former President Donald Trump wrapped up his 100-minute speech to Congress.
Xi Jinping Responds to U.S. Tariffs
Chinese President Xi Jinping issued the warning in response to tariffs imposed by the Trump administration over the ongoing fentanyl crisis. In a direct message to Washington, China’s embassy in the U.S. took to social media to address the dispute.
“If the U.S. truly wants to solve the fentanyl issue, then the right thing to do is to consult with China by treating each other as equals,” the statement read.
China Declares Readiness for Confrontation
Taking a more aggressive stance, Beijing warned that it is prepared to engage in various conflicts, including a tariff war, a trade war, or any other type of war.
“If war is what the U.S. wants, be it a tariff war, a trade war, or any other type of war, we are ready to fight till the end,” the statement concluded.
The remarks mark a significant escalation in China-U.S. tensions, with both nations locked in economic and geopolitical disputes that continue to shape global relations.
