DUBLIN — The body of an unidentified man has been discovered in the Grand Canal in Dublin, prompting an appeal from Gardaí for information.
Authorities are urging anyone who may have been walking or cycling near the canal section between the 12th Lock in Lucan and Hazelhatch Bridge between Thursday and Saturday to come forward.
A postmortem examination was conducted after the body was recovered, with Gardaí confirming that no foul play is suspected at this stage.
Investigators appeal to individuals who may have been travelling in the area and witnessed anything unusual to provide information. They have also asked those with video footage, including dash-cam recordings, to contact them.
