Singer Billie Eilish has once again skipped the prestigious Met Gala, choosing not to attend the 2024 and 2025 editions of the star-studded fashion event.
The Grammy-winning artist is currently on a European tour, performing back-to-back shows that made it logistically impossible to appear at the gala in New York.
Eilish performed at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome on May 4 and 5, with another show scheduled for May 7.
The demanding concert dates meant she would have had little time to travel internationally for the Met Gala and return in time to prepare for her next performance.
The 22-year-old first made her Met Gala debut in 2021 as one of the event’s youngest co-chairs. That year, she turned heads wearing a stunning nude Oscar de la Renta gown and sporting platinum blonde hair, making a lasting impression on the fashion world.

Last month, Eilish opened up in a candid interview with British Vogue, reflecting on her journey through fame, music, and self-discovery.
She explained that her early success wasn’t driven by a desire to rebel, but simply by staying true to her taste and vision.
“I had no idea [when I was younger] that I was doing anything fearlessly,” she said. “I just felt like I was doing what I thought was cool.”
As her profile grew, Eilish admitted to facing periods of self-doubt and pressure. “The older I get, there have been many periods of doubt and fear and feeling so much pressure,” she said, noting that public attention only amplified those challenges.
Still, she believes she’s managing well. “I think I’m doing pretty good,” she added, crediting her strong-willed nature for helping her stay grounded.

Eilish also shared the importance of her support system, saying she recharges by spending time with loved ones.
“I realised recently that I think my favourite thing in the world is to hang out,” she said. “Being with my brother [Finneas], my mama and my dad—they are always the ones when it is getting too much. Finneas makes everything better.”
Despite skipping the Met Gala again, Billie Eilish remains focused on her music career and personal well-being, prioritising performances and her connection with fans across Europe.
