Angelina Jolie and Vivienne Jolie-Pitt Shine at the Tony Awards
Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, the 15-year-old daughter of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt, made a striking appearance at the Tony Awards alongside her mother on Sunday. The mother-daughter duo graced the red carpet in coordinating outfits, capturing the attention of attendees and the media.
Angelina, 49, dazzled in a draped seafoam green velvet Atelier Versace gown paired with a matching shrug. At the same time, Vivienne chose a stylish ensemble featuring a crisp white collared shirt, teal-coloured vest, trousers, and a bow tie. Their appearance was in support of their Broadway musical, “The Outsiders,” which has garnered 12 nominations. Angelina served as a producer for the show, and Vivienne took on the role of a producer’s assistant.
The “Maleficent” star is also slated to present during the ceremony hosted by Ariana DeBose. This event marks another public outing for the duo, who attended “The Outsiders” opening night earlier this year, posing for photos on the red carpet.
Vivienne recently made headlines for appearing in “The Outsiders” playbill as Vivienne Jolie, dropping the Pitt surname. This decision follows similar moves by her siblings; Zahara introduced herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie” at Spelman College, and Shiloh filed to legally change her name from “Shiloh Jolie-Pitt” to “Shiloh Jolie” on her 18th birthday.
The Jolie-Pitt children’s name changes reflect ongoing family dynamics following Angelina and Brad’s 12-year relationship’s end in 2016.
Despite being declared legally single in 2019, their divorce proceedings continue, particularly over the custody of their six children—Maddox, 22, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and 15-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox—and the Chateau Miraval winery they purchased in 2008.
An insider revealed that Shiloh independently hired a lawyer and paid for the legal process herself, indicating a degree of autonomy among the Jolie-Pitt children. Reports from Us Weekly in 2021 indicated that Maddox prefers using Jolie instead of Pitt in non-legal contexts.
As Angelina and Brad’s legal battles persist, the Jolie-Pitt children’s choices about their names and identities underscore the complex personal and familial changes they are navigating.
