Beautician sues Lamborghini for paternity recognition after DNA test
A 35-year-old beautician from Naples, Italy, has filed a lawsuit against Tonino Lamborghini, the son of the founder of the famous sports car brand, claiming to be his illegitimate daughter.
Flavia Borzone says she has “irrefutable” DNA evidence that she is the secret half-sister of Elettra Lamborghini, a 29-year-old socialite and singer known as the “Italian Paris Hilton”.
Borzone claims that she hired a private investigator to obtain a drinking straw used by Elettra at a cafe and sent it to a laboratory for genetic analysis. The results allegedly showed a 99.9% probability of a sibling relationship between the two women.
Borzone says that her mother, Rosalba Colosimo, had a brief affair with Tonino Lamborghini in 1980 when he married his first wife. She says that she was born in 1988 and that her mother never told her the identity of her father until recently.
Borzone says she tried to contact Tonino Lamborghini in 2019, but he denied being her father and accused her and her mother of defamation. He also sued them for damages and asked for a court-ordered DNA test to disprove their claims.
Borzone’s lawyer, Sergio Culiersi, said that his client only wants to be recognized as Tonino Lamborghini’s daughter and has no interest in his fortune. He noted that Borzone has a recording of a phone conversation with Tonino Lamborghini in which he allegedly admitted having a relationship with Colosimo and that Borzone’s real name, Clelia, was a tribute to his mother.
Tonino Lamborghini’s lawyer, Giuseppe Di Carlo, said Borzone’s DNA test was “unlawful” and “invalid” because Elettra Lamborghini did not consent to give her saliva sample. He said that the court should reject the test as evidence and order a new one with the participation of all the parties involved.
The case is expected to resume in March when the judge will decide whether to accept or reject Borzone’s DNA test and whether to order a new one.
Tonino Lamborghini, 76, is the second son of Ferruccio Lamborghini, who founded the luxury car company in 1963. He sold his shares in the company in 1974 and later launched his brand of watches, clothing, accessories, and hotels. He has five children from two marriages, including Elettra, a reality TV star and a pop singer.
