Young Woman’s Body Found Inside Old Ambulance Near Children’s Play Area in Blackpool
The body of a young woman in her 20s was discovered inside a vehicle near a children’s play area in Blackpool, Lancashire, early this morning. Emergency services responded to the scene on Gorton Street, a residential road close to Blackpool North railway station, at around 9:30 am.
The woman’s death, described as sudden, was first reported by the Blackpool Lead. Further details emerged from the Blackpool Gazette, which indicated that her body was found in an “old decommissioned ambulance.”
Authorities have arrested two men in their 60s in connection with the incident. The death is currently being treated as unexpected but not suspicious.
However, the two men have been arrested on suspicion of supplying a controlled drug.
In a statement to Metro.co.uk, Lancashire Police confirmed: “Emergency services were called to Gorton Street, Blackpool, at about 9:30 am today following reports of a sudden death. Officers attended and sadly found the body of a woman in her 20s.
The death is being treated as unexpected and is under investigation, but it is not deemed to be suspicious at this time.
Two men, both in their 60s, have been arrested on suspicion of supplying a controlled drug. Enquiries are continuing.”
The North West Ambulance Service has been contacted for further comments.
