Woman in Her 50s in Serious Condition Following Car-Truck Crash in Cork
A serious collision involving a car and an articulated truck occurred this afternoon in Cork on the N28 at Carr’s Hill around 1:15 pm.
The driver of the car, a woman in her 50s, sustained serious injuries and has been taken to Cork University Hospital for treatment.
Fortunately, no other injuries were reported as a result of the incident.
The collision has led to the closure of the N28 between the Shannon Road roundabout in Carrigaline and the Bloomfield Interchange in Douglas, with local diversions set up for motorists.
Gardaí have pleaded to the public not to share any images or videos related to the collision out of respect for those involved.
Garda Forensic Collision investigators have examined the scene, and Gardaí in Togher are seeking witnesses or individuals with camera footage from the vicinity between 12:45 pm and 1:45 pm.
