A woman in her 40s has tragically died following a fire at a residence in Hunters Lane, Ballycullen, Dublin 24, on Monday evening.
Emergency services and Gardaí were alerted to the blaze shortly after 10 pm. Despite their efforts, the woman, who was the sole occupant of the property, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Dublin City Coroner has been informed, and a post-mortem examination will be conducted to determine the cause of death.
In a statement, Gardaí confirmed they are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, describing it as “tragic.” A family liaison officer has been appointed to provide support to the woman’s next of kin.
Investigations into the fire remain ongoing.
