It was a night full of star power and surprises as Wendy Williams made a rare public appearance at LaQuan Smith’s fashion show during New York Fashion Week.
The talk show icon, who is currently living in an assisted living facility under a court-ordered guardianship, arrived at the Classic Car Club on Tuesday night alongside her bodyguard, close friend Max Tucci, niece Alex Finne and Finne’s fiancé Eric Houston.

The crowd erupted with excitement at her arrival, but the highlight came when Williams was reunited with rapper Lil’ Kim, a longtime friend from her early radio days.
Cameras captured the pair sharing warm words, with Williams telling the hip hop legend: “We’re gonna stay in touch. I love you!” She even instructed her bodyguard to pass along contact details.

Inside the venue, Williams took her seat to thunderous applause. “Wendy was the last to sit. People were shouting, ‘We love you, Wendy!’ They gave her a thunderous ovation,” one eyewitness told Page Six.
After the show, Williams headed backstage, where she met rap sensation Ice Spice, who was posing for photos with her personal photographer. “Ice said, ‘I’m Ice.’ Wendy said, ‘I’m Wendy,’ and Ice said, ‘I know!’ They were cute together,” an insider revealed.

Williams, 60, embraced the moment with full TV glam — a Fashion Week first since being placed under guardianship. Sources said she currently has limited access to her personal belongings, including her signature wigs, which remain in storage.
Her appearance came as she continued a difficult legal battle. According to People magazine, Williams is scheduled to be deposed on November 4 in connection with a lawsuit her guardian, Sabrina Morrissey, filed against Lifetime over a documentary project.

Williams has been vocal about her unhappiness under guardianship, previously describing her Hudson Yards assisted living facility as “a luxury prison.”
The former daytime star is pursuing legal action to regain her independence and control of her estate.
For fans, however, Tuesday night was a reminder of the Wendy they love: bold, glamorous, and at the centre of the conversation.
