Wannabe reality TV star Jimmy Featherstone, also known as “Hull’s Ken Doll,” has been warned he may face a prison sentence after admitting to a serious “sextortion” blackmail offence.
The 25-year-old, who is known for his flamboyant style and love of cosmetic surgery, appeared before Hull Crown Court, where he pleaded guilty to blackmailing an unnamed man between August 16 and 19.
Featherstone, of Hessle Road in west Hull, was on bail during the hearing. The police had previously described his actions as involving “sextortion,” a crime that often entails coercing victims into providing money or favours in exchange for not releasing intimate images. Prosecutor Neil Coxon stated that the offence impacted the victim and his partner, and a statement from the partner was being obtained for the prosecution.
Featherstone was represented by Rachel Scott and was granted conditional bail while the probation service prepared a pre-sentence report. Recorder Ian Mullarkey emphasised the seriousness of the case, stating that the adjournment for the report should not be interpreted as an indication of the final sentence. He warned Featherstone that all options, including a possible prison sentence, would be considered at the next hearing.
Featherstone was cautioned that failing to appear in court for the next scheduled hearing or further offences would constitute a separate violation.
