Fashion designer Vera Wang has dismissed any thoughts of retirement as she prepares to celebrate her 76th birthday next month, revealing she is busier than ever with new projects, including the launch of a unique perfume.

Speaking at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation’s Hot Pink Party, Wang told Page Six Style that stepping away from work is not on her radar.
“I just seem to have a very full calendar the year ahead,” she said. “So I’m just trying to get through it.”

One of her major upcoming ventures is a new fragrance titled Love, which features a blend of vanilla, amber, and a rare component – the scent of the “Queen of the Night” flower. The elusive bloom is known for blossoming only once a year for a single night.
Known for her youthful appearance, the bridal fashion icon responded playfully when asked whether she might be a vampire.

“I’m not ageless at all,” she said. “I think I spend most of my life working, and when I’m not working, I’m trying to raise my daughters, so both of those things keep me kind of busy.”
Wang has previously credited her youthful looks and longevity to some unconventional choices.
In a 2023 interview, she told Page Six she regularly eats McDonald’s.
“I do eat McDonald’s, absolutely,” she said. “I order it every day, like two weeks on it, and then I’ll change.”

She also confessed a love for Dunkin’ Doughnuts. “I like the cream-filled, sugar-coated doughnut,” she said. “It’s like a jelly doughnut, but it’s cream inside, vanilla cream. I like the pink with sprinkles, too.”
The designer made headlines in 2020 when she went viral for her ageless appearance after sharing photos of herself, then aged 70, wearing an orange sports bra and denim shorts. She later revealed her so-called anti-ageing secrets included “work, sleep, a vodka cocktail [and] not much sun.”
Among other notable guests at the New York gala were actress Elizabeth Hurley, Orange is the New Black star Emma Myles, and ballerina Misty Copeland.
