Three people tragically lost their lives when a small plane crashed into a highway in Boca Raton, Florida, on Friday morning.
The incident occurred shortly after the Cessna 310R propeller aircraft, which had just taken off from Boca Raton Airport at 10:15 AM, encountered mechanical issues and fell from the sky.

Witnesses reported hearing the plane as it flew “really loud and low” moments before the crash. Video footage from the scene showed the burning wreckage of the aircraft, with a car also engulfed in flames near the crash site. A motorist who attempted to avoid the wreckage was injured after hitting a tree.
Flight data indicated that the plane had circled and zigzagged shortly after takeoff. Local authorities responded by closing two highways and an overpass near the crash site, advising residents to stay away from the area.
The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) has launched an investigation into the cause of the crash.

Debris from the wreckage was scattered across the road and the nearby railway tracks. Early live footage from a local news helicopter briefly showed one of the victims’ bodies at the crash scene.
The tragic accident comes just a day after a deadly helicopter crash in New York City, in which a Spanish family of five and the pilot were killed after the helicopter plunged into the Hudson River.
This year has already seen several high-profile air travel incidents, including the January collision between an American Airlines jet and a U.S. Air Force helicopter, which killed 67 people. Despite these incidents, the International Air Transport Association (IATA) stressed that air accidents remain rare, with the fatality rate increasing only slightly in recent months.
