WARREN, Mich. — President Donald Trump marked the 100th day of his second term in office with a high-energy rally Tuesday night in Michigan, where he highlighted his administration’s aggressive immigration policies, economic initiatives, and cuts to federal bureaucracy.
Speaking before a packed crowd at the Macomb Sports and Expo Center, just outside Detroit, the 78-year-old president declared a shift in immigration enforcement and celebrated what he described as a resurgence in American industry and jobs.
“America is no longer a dumping ground for criminals,” Trump told supporters. “They’re not even trying to come in anymore,” he added, referencing unauthorized border crossings.
Trump played a dramatic video during the event that showed deported individuals — allegedly members of violent gangs including MS-13 and Tren de Aragua — being transferred to a notorious high-security prison in El Salvador. The footage drew loud cheers from the audience.
The rally venue, which seats approximately 4,000, was decked out with oversized slogans such as “JOBS! JOBS! JOBS!”, “THE AMERICAN DREAM IS BACK,” and “BUY AMERICAN, HIRE AMERICAN.”
Trump claimed his first 100 days of the new term had been the most successful start to any administration in U.S. history. “We’re here tonight in the heartland of our nation to celebrate what we’ve accomplished together,” he said.
He also made promises about a return of automotive jobs to the state, attributing the expected revival to his trade and tax policies. “Auto companies are coming back to Michigan to build cars again,” Trump said, positioning himself as the defender of American manufacturing.

Throughout the speech, Trump took aim at previous administrations, accusing them of favoring China over struggling American cities. “After decades of politicians who destroyed Detroit to build up Beijing, you finally have a champion in the White House,” he said. “We’re putting Michigan first. We’re putting America first.”
Trump also touted his ongoing efforts to shrink the federal government and reduce bureaucratic overreach. “After a lifetime of unelected bureaucrats taking your money, pushing their agenda, and infringing on your freedoms, we’re cutting their influence,” he said. “We’re ending the deep state’s power trip.”
He punctuated his message with a now-familiar line: “You’re fired!” — aimed at what he described as “corrupt, incompetent and unnecessary” government officials.
The event was briefly interrupted by a protester, prompting a quick retort from Trump, who dismissed the individual as “a radical left lunatic,” eliciting laughter and applause from the crowd.
Tuesday’s rally was part of Trump’s continued effort to solidify support in key battleground states and underscore his agenda for the remainder of his second term.
