The search for 37-year-old Paria Veisi, who went missing in Cardiff last week, has intensified as police continue to appeal for public assistance.
After finishing work, Veisi was last seen on Friday, April 12, and her sudden disappearance has sparked growing concern among family, friends, and local residents.
Originally from Iran, Veisi had been living in Cardiff for several years and worked in the healthcare sector.
Described by those close to her as responsible and caring, her vanishing is said to be completely out of character.
South Wales Police launched a missing person investigation after Veisi’s black Mercedes was discovered abandoned on a residential street in Penylan.
The car was found locked, with no immediate signs of disturbance. Officers have been conducting door-to-door inquiries in the area and are reviewing nearby CCTV footage.
As part of the investigation, two individuals—a 41-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman—have been arrested on suspicion of involvement in her disappearance.
Both remain in police custody while investigations continue.
“We are treating this case with the utmost seriousness,” a spokesperson for South Wales Police said.
“We urge anyone who may have seen Paria or her vehicle on Friday, or who may have any relevant information, to come forward immediately.”
Family members have also issued a plea to the public. “We are desperate for answers,” said a close friend.
“Paria is not someone who would just disappear. We need help to bring her home safely.”
A new round of searches is expected to continue in the Penylan and surrounding areas over the weekend.
