U.S. President Donald Trump has warned that the United States is prepared to launch further strikes on Iran’s nuclear facilities if deemed necessary.
Posting on Truth Social, Trump claimed Iran’s nuclear enrichment sites — previously targeted by U.S. airstrikes — had been “destroyed” and reaffirmed that Washington would not hesitate to act again.
“Of course they are [destroyed], just like I said, and we will do it again, if necessary,” Trump wrote, referencing Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi’s admission that the sites had sustained “very severe” damage.
The comments come amid rising tensions following U.S. strikes in June on three major Iranian nuclear facilities: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan.

According to a recent assessment reported by NBC News, one of the sites was found to be mostly destroyed, while the remaining two suffered less significant damage.
In an interview with Fox News, Araghchi acknowledged the damage but insisted that Iran would not abandon its uranium enrichment efforts.
“It is stopped because, yes, damages are serious and severe,” Araghchi said. “But obviously we cannot give up enrichment because it is an achievement of our own scientists. And now, more than that, it is a question of national pride.”
The Biden administration has yet to publicly respond to Trump’s latest remarks. However, analysts suggest that renewed U.S. threats could further escalate the standoff over Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
Iran has long argued that its nuclear program is for peaceful purposes, but Western powers remain skeptical, citing concerns over potential weaponisation.
The strikes in June marked one of the most direct attacks on Iranian nuclear infrastructure in years, drawing international scrutiny and raising questions about future stability in the region.
