Former President Donald Trump has suggested that Ukraine may be unable to hold off Russia, even if the United States continues providing significant support.
Trump made the remarks during an interview on Fox News’ “Sunday Morning Futures”, defending his decision to reduce aid to Ukraine. His comments came amid concerns raised by Polish President Andrzej Duda and others who fear that Europe alone cannot sustain Kyiv’s fight without American backing.

“Well, it may not survive anyway,” Trump said, referring to Ukraine’s chances in the conflict.
The former president also voiced concerns about Russia, stating:
“We have some weaknesses with Russia. It takes two. Look, it was not going to happen — that war — and it happened. So now we’re stuck with this mess.“
Last week, CIA Director John Ratcliffe confirmed that US intelligence sharing with Ukraine hadbeen mainlyn paused. Additionally, the Trump administration has suspended aid to Kyiv as part of its shift in policy.
Despite the reduced support, Ukrainian and American officials are scheduled to meet in Saudi Arabia this week to discuss the ongoing war.
