Former President Donald Trump is ahead of President Joe Biden by 10 points in the latest Rasmussen Reports survey for the 2024 White House race.
The poll, released Friday, shows 46% of likely voters supporting the 78-year-old Trump, while 36% back the 81-year-old incumbent.

In the five-way race, independent candidates Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Cornel West received 9% and 2% support, respectively, and Green Party candidate Jill Stein garnered 1%.
Trump also leads Biden in a head-to-head matchup, with 49% support compared to Biden’s 40%. Seven per cent of voters indicated they would vote for another candidate, and 4% were undecided.

The Rasmussen poll is a clear outlier among other 2024 presidential race surveys. A FiveThirtyEight average of recent polls shows a much closer race, with Biden at 40.7% and Trump at 40.4%. Similarly, a RealClearPolitics average has Trump leading Biden by less than 1 point, 46.1% to 45.2%, in a head-to-head comparison. In the five-way race, Trump’ss lead expands to 1.9 points, 42.1% to 40.2%.

Trump highlighted his significant lead in the Rasmussen survey in a Truth Social post on Friday. He shared a graphic reading, “Trump crushes Biden big with 10-point lead”, which he pinned to the top of his timeline.
The Rasmussen survey also found that 54% of voters disapprove of Biden’s performance in the White House. Additionally, 59% of respondents believe the government is not doing enough to address illegal border crossings and visitor overstays.
