Former President Donald Trump jokingly suggested on Tuesday that the Harris-Biden administration should invoke the 25th Amendment to remove both President Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris from office.
During an appearance on “The Ben Shapiro Show,” Trump expressed his views on the administration’s performance, saying, “I think they should do a double 25th Amendment. Get them both out.”
Trump criticised the current administration, declaring it “the worst ever” and asserting, “They both don’t know what the hell they’re doing.” His comments come amid ongoing discussions about Biden’s ability to effectively govern, particularly as concerns about his age and cognitive abilities continue to grow.
The 25th Amendment allows the vice president and a majority of the Cabinet to declare a president unfit to perform his duties, enabling the vice president to assume the presidency. In such a scenario, House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) would be next in line for the presidency.

Despite speculation regarding Biden’s capabilities in office, White House officials have repeatedly denied any discussions about using the 25th Amendment. This has been a recurring theme among Biden’s opponents, mainly when his performance has been scrutinised.
During the interview, Trump also commented on Biden’s relationship with Harris, indicating that tensions exist. He claimed to have friends within the White House who reported that Harris is distancing herself from Biden, saying, “She doesn’t want anything to do with him.”

Trump also criticised Harris’s recent appearance on CBS News’ “60 Minutes,” stating, “She answers questions like a child.” He expressed disdain for her interview style, suggesting her responses were overly simplistic and indicative of a lack of intelligence. He added, “She sounds like a person with a very low IQ.”
Trump reflected on his political prospects for the upcoming Nov. 5 election in his wide-ranging conversation with Shapiro. Despite Shapiro suggesting it could be one of the closest presidential races in modern history, Trump expressed confidence, stating, “It just doesn’t feel like it’s that close of an election.”
He emphasised the importance of maintaining a competitive mindset: “You always have to assume you’re losing by one point because that’s probably the best way to run.” This strategy, he believes, will help him navigate the unpredictable landscape of electoral politics.

Trump also described his successor, President Biden, as a “stupid fool,” before reiterating his criticisms of Harris. He stated, “They’re just incompetent. She is grossly incompetent.” Trump concluded his remarks by claiming that both Biden and Harris share this incompetence, with Harris being “more incompetent” in certain aspects.
Overall, Trump’s comments reflect a continued effort to capitalise on perceived weaknesses within the current administration as he prepares for the upcoming election season.
