Jurors in the “hush money” trial involving Donald Trump deliberated for nearly five hours on Wednesday without reaching a verdict.
Manhattan Supreme Court Justice Juan Merchan instructed the jury in the morning, after which the seven men and five women on the panel commenced their deliberations at approximately 11:30 a.m.
Trump faces 34 counts of falsifying business records linked to a $130,000 payment made by his former lawyer, Michael Cohen, to adult film actress Stormy Daniels just prior to the 2016 presidential election.
The jury will reconvene on Thursday to continue their deliberations.
