Former President Donald Trump’s senior adviser and legal team attorney, Alina Habba, is actively campaigning to secure support from Arab-American communities in the crucial swing state of Michigan.
Habba, a first-generation American with Iraqi heritage, has been travelling across Michigan since Thursday, participating in nearly a dozen events and engaging with Arab American, Indian American, and Chaldean American communities.
In an interview with Fox News Digital, Habba emphasised her connection to the communities she addresses, noting, “As someone who understands how tight-knit and faith-driven these communities are, I’m incredibly proud to be here with the Arab American communities in Michigan.”
She highlighted the importance of protecting the freedoms enjoyed in the U.S., warning against letting the country “go down the same dangerous path” and asserting that Trump is the best option to safeguard American values and way of life.
Habba’s itinerary included visiting the Chaldean Foundation, where she toured the community, spoke to local children at a school and met with community leaders.
She described the Chaldean community as “driven by its faith and close-knit family ties.” She suggested that Trump’s policies resonate well with independents, moderates, and traditional Republicans, particularly in battleground states like Michigan.
On Friday, Habba also participated in a “Trump 47 Agenda Policy Tour” event in Farmington Hills alongside figures such as Vivek Ramaswamy, Rep. Tim Walberg, and Tudor Dixon.
She praised the Trump 47 Policy Tour’s impact, particularly in areas like Oakland County, and underscored the strength and unity of the Chaldean community, which includes ten Catholic churches in Metro Detroit.
Recent Fox News Power Rankings indicate that while crucial swing states such as North Carolina, Arizona, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, and Nevada are considered “toss-ups,” Michigan is currently classified as “lean Democrat.”
