A devastating incident unfolded in Jaywick as a woman named Esther Martin, 68 tragically lost her life after being viciously attacked by two dogs. Police responded to the distressing scene at a residence on Hillman Avenue following a call shortly after 4 pm on Saturday.
The victim, who was reportedly visiting her 11-year-old grandson, succumbed to her injuries on-site. A 39-year-old man from Jaywick, identified as being acquainted with the victim, has been apprehended on suspicion of dangerous dog offences and is currently in police custody.
