Toronto police have made 32 arrests and laid 158 charges following an 11-month interprovincial investigation into the Jamestown Crips street gang, also known as “Project Foxxx.”

The probe began in September 2023 and was conducted in collaboration with York Regional Police and the Ontario Provincial Police. Deputy Chief Rob Johnson emphasized the severe impact of drug trafficking and firearms on community safety. “We know drug trafficking fuels addiction, violence, and crime,” Johnson said. “We will not let criminal gangs, firearms, or drugs undermine the safety and quality of life in our city.”
The Jamestown Crips, a long-standing gang based in the Rexdale area, has been linked to illegal firearm possession and drug trafficking across provincial lines.
During the investigation, authorities seized 4.7 kilograms of cocaine worth approximately $568,000, 6 kilograms of methamphetamine valued at around $480,000, and $320,000 in cash. Additionally, nine firearms were confiscated.

Police discovered that the gang was using Canada Post to ship drugs to other provinces. While no firearms were found being transported across provincial borders, Insp. Paul Krawczyk indicated that it is possible such activities could be occurring.
Between April and July, police executed 35 search warrants in several locations, including Toronto, Hamilton, Vaughan, Brampton, Mississauga, Guelph, and Thompson, Manitoba, leading to the arrests. The investigation also had implications for St. John’s, though details were not specified.
Krawczyk stressed the broader impact of the gang’s activities. “Their reach into these cities spreads violence, drugs, and fear,” he said. “We must do everything we can to stop them.”
