Tom Brady recently discovered that his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen, is expecting her first child with her jiu-jitsu instructor, Joaquim Valente. Sources revealed to Page Six that the former NFL star found out about Bündchen’s pregnancy last week.
TMZ reported that the 44-year-old supermodel is approximately five to six months along, suggesting the baby is due in early 2025. A Miami source familiar with the situation confirmed that Brady only learned of the news recently.
Despite sharing two children—Ben, 14, and Vivian, 11—Bündchen has a history of keeping significant news private, which may explain why Brady was only informed now. “Tom’s great, a very nice, normal guy,” the insider stated, adding that Gisele’s personality tends to be more unpredictable.
When asked about the current state of the former couple’s relationship, the source commented, “I think they talk when they have to,” emphasising that Brady prioritises their children.
Representatives for Brady and Bündchen did not comment on the news. Since the announcement broke in People magazine, Brady has not publicly addressed the pregnancy but shared a cryptic Instagram post featuring a song about “changing.”
In his Instagram Stories, Brady posted a sunset picture set to the Chicks’ cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Landslide.” The lyrics reflect themes of growth and change, asking, “Can I handle the seasons of my life?”
Bündchen, who is reportedly excited about the new chapter with Valente, has not publicly commented on her pregnancy yet. Two weeks ago, she was seen covering her baby bump with a large purse while leaving a Pilates studio in Miami.
Bündchen and Valente began dating in June 2023, shortly after she and Brady announced their divorce in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage.
An insider revealed that Gisele and Joaquim look forward to creating a loving environment for their growing family. The couple sparked dating rumours in November 2022 when Valente was spotted vacationing with Bündchen and her children in Costa Rica, just a month after her divorce filing. At that time, Bündchen had denied any romantic involvement with the fitness instructor, who had been teaching martial arts to her and her children.
