Three men have been charged in connection with the recent seizure of suspected cannabis worth €700,000 in County Roscommon, Ireland.

The arrests took place on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, following a coordinated operation by Gardaí, resulting in the discovery of a significant cannabis cultivation setup at a property in Loughglynn, County Roscommon.

The three men, all in their 30s, are scheduled to appear before a special sitting of Roscommon District Court later today, Thursday, April 11, to face charges related to drug possession and cultivation.

The raid was carried out as part of an ongoing investigation under Operation Tara, aimed at dismantling suspected cannabis growhouses and disrupting drug trafficking networks.

Gardaí, searching, uncovered a sophisticated cannabis cultivation operation, including both cannabis plants and processed cannabis herbs.
