NFL star Stefon Diggs is facing a paternity lawsuit from a social media influencer who claims he is the father of her newborn daughter, just days after his girlfriend, rapper Cardi B, revealed she is expecting his child.
Court Filing in Los Angeles
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Aileen Lopera — who goes by Lord Gisselle online — filed a petition in December 2024 in the Superior Court of California in Los Angeles.
At the time of her filing, Lopera was pregnant and listed Diggs as the “parent” of her unborn child.
Custody and Financial Demands
In her petition, the Fashion Nova ambassador requested full legal and physical custody of the child, while asking that Diggs be granted only visitation rights.
She also sought to have the New England Patriots’ wide receiver cover all pregnancy and birth-related expenses, as well as her legal fees.
Diggs Responds to Petition
In July, Diggs, 31, filed his response to the lawsuit, stating he was “not certain” whether he was the biological father of the baby, named Charliee Harper Diggs-Lopera, who was born on April 2.
The athlete requested a genetic test to establish parentage.
Joint Custody Request
Diggs also argued that if paternity was confirmed, he should share both legal and physical custody of Charliee.
He proposed splitting all related medical costs and attorney fees with Lopera.
First Reports of Case
The US Sun first reported on the legal battle. Page Six said it had reached out to Diggs’ lawyer for comment but had not received an immediate response.
Cardi B Confirms Pregnancy
News of the paternity dispute broke shortly after Cardi B announced she was pregnant with Diggs’ child during an interview on CBS Mornings with Gayle King.
“I’m excited, I’m happy, I feel like I’m in a good space,” Cardi, 32, told the programme, adding that her due date is before her tour begins in February.
Rapper’s Split from Offset
Cardi B shares three children with estranged husband Offset — daughters Kulture, 7, and Blossom, 1, and son Wave, 3.
She filed for divorce from the Migos rapper, 33, last summer before beginning her relationship with Diggs.
Public Debut of Relationship
The Grammy winner and Diggs went public with their romance in May, attending an NBA game together where they were seen sharing affectionate moments.
Cardi’s Criticism of Offset
The following month, Cardi accused Offset of being a “deadbeat dad,” alleging he left her to pay their children’s bills for “a whole year straight.”
She claimed the rapper had not seen his children since March and had only met their youngest, Blossom, five times.
Diggs’ Other Daughter
Diggs is also father to daughter Nova, whom he reportedly welcomed with ex-partner Tyler-Marie in October 2016.
