Simon Harris Elected as Ireland’s Youngest Prime Minister (Taoiseach)
Simon Harris has been elected as the country’s new Taoiseach, marking a historic milestone as the youngest leader of the Government in Ireland’s history.
The election saw TDs voting 88 to 69 in support of Mr Harris, who will now proceed to Áras an Uachtaráin for confirmation by President Michael D Higgins.
