Glasgow’s TRNSMT music festival over the weekend became a focal point for law enforcement, with Police Scotland confirming the arrest of 40 individuals aged 13 to 45. Charges included possession of illegal drugs, assault, sexual assault, breach of peace, and disorderly conduct.

According to Police Scotland, 21 arrests occurred within the festival grounds, while 19 others were made around the festival entrance. The arrests were spread across the weekend, with 15 occurring on Sunday, 14 on Saturday, and 11 on Friday.

Authorities are currently appealing for witnesses following an incident outside the festival where a 15-year-old boy sustained a head injury near the boat house in the park around 4 pm on Saturday. Detective Sergeant Stephen Greenshields of Shettleston CID urged anyone with information to come forward to assist with ongoing investigations.

The three-day festival featured notable performances and surprises, including actor Martin Compston appearing on stage with Example and Craig David performing alongside Wes Nelson. Other acts such as Sugababes, Rick Astley, Chase and Status, and the Courteeners entertained the enthusiastic crowd.
