Salma Hayek marked her 59th birthday with a bold social media post, drawing an outpouring of admiration from fans and fellow celebrities.
The Mexican-American actress shared a photo of herself on Instagram wearing a vivid red bikini, smiling as she lifted a matching cocktail toward the camera.

She appeared to be enjoying the moment on board a yacht, with dark sunglasses shielding her eyes as the sun set behind her over the ocean.
“59 trips around the sun and still dancing,” she wrote to her millions of followers. “Cheers to all of you & thank you for the love ♥️.”

Messages of support quickly flooded in, including one from veteran actor Anthony Hopkins.

“Happy birthday ♥️ We love you,” he commented beneath her post.
Supermodel Linda Evangelista, who co-parents a son with Hayek’s husband François-Henri Pinault, added a string of heart emojis in tribute.
Hayek’s milestone birthday follows a high-profile appearance earlier this year as one of the faces of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue 2025.

The actress said she never imagined such a feature would happen to her, especially at this stage in her career.
“When I was young, I used to wait to see who would be in the Swimsuit Issue,” she told the magazine. “I didn’t look like a model, so it never crossed my mind that one day I would be in it.”
She admitted that, had someone suggested she would grace its pages at 58, she would have dismissed the idea outright.
“The world has changed, and that’s exciting,” she said, reflecting on how perceptions of beauty have evolved.

Hayek described the editorial decision as more than a personal victory, calling it a cultural signal that ageing should not diminish confidence.
“I think it’s remarkable that Sports Illustrated says it’s O.K., maybe even cool, to be past 50 and still feel sexy and free,” she said.
The Frida star acknowledged that she could retire but does not intend to step back from the public eye just yet.

“I don’t want to miss out on this time,” she said. “I fought for it, and I’ve been part of it.”
In April, she told People magazine that her focus is on ageing gracefully rather than attempting to reverse the clock.
“I just want my husband to still go, ‘Wow,’ when he looks at me,” she explained. “It’s not about looking 20 — it’s about feeling good at 50 and 60, and finding a different kind of beauty.”
