Prince Harry is anticipated to join a memorial for Princess Diana in London this evening, timing his appearance to avoid overlap with Prince William.
Prince William will deliver a speech in person to commemorate the charity’s 25th anniversary and present awards to 20 distinguished recipients. Kate, who is recuperating from surgery, will not be attending.
This move is reminiscent of the royal equivalent of tuning out an unwelcome conversation.
The Duke of Sussex will participate in the event to honour his mother, and Prince William will also be present to pay tribute to Lady Di.

The brothers, now estranged, will be part of the Diana Legacy Award ceremony, which recognizes young individuals making a difference.
However, the current discord means they will not share the same space at any point, not even through a pre-recorded message.
Prince Harry, now residing in California with Meghan Markle and their children, is expected to connect with the awardees via a video call, as reported.
Dr Tessy Ojo, CEO of the Diana Award, expressed that it was an honour to have the support of both the Prince of Wales and the Duke of Sussex, especially during the charity’s 25th anniversary celebrations.
The Diana Award, a charity established to mirror Diana’s belief in the potential of young people to enact global change, regards Harry’s involvement as a pivotal element of the event.
He is scheduled to engage virtually with the award winners on the evening of the awards to celebrate their achievements.
A spokesperson for Kensington Palace relayed that the Prince of Wales will meet with the Diana Award’s key personnel and supporters before the ceremony. He will then attend the event to learn about the recipients’ initiatives, deliver a brief address, and distribute the Legacy Awards to this year’s honorees.
The last public appearance of the once close-knit brothers is believed to have been at King Charles’ coronation in May of the previous year. However, Harry did make a brief return to the UK following the monarch’s cancer diagnosis.
The brothers’ rift becomes more pronounced following Harry’s allegation in his memoir Spare, in which William physically confronts him.

According to Vanity Fair, The tension has been mounting since 2017, when Harry reportedly criticized William for not sufficiently welcoming Meghan into the royal family.
In a recent development, Prince William and Kate Middleton were in the news after several news agencies withdrew a Mother’s Day family photo posted by Kate due to concerns of manipulation following her admission of editing the image.
