The Duke and Duchess of Sussex calls have emerged for the royal family to completely cut off Prince Harry and Meghan Markle to prevent further controversies.
Since they departed from royal duties in 2020, the couple has been largely excluded from royal affairs. Their subsequent public statements and high-profile projects have increasingly criticized Harry’s estranged family, leading to growing tensions.
Royal commentator Dee Dee Dunleavy, speaking to Sky News Australia, emphasized the need for the royal family to avoid reconciliation discussions and instead advocated for stripping Harry and Meghan of their royal titles. “There’s talk that William is the enforcer, the tough guy of the royal family,” she stated.
“King Charles is a pushover; I think he’d take Harry back in a heartbeat. William took on the role of Prince Philip, the tough guy.
I can also see William’s point of view; he’s more protective of the upset Harry caused while the Queen was in her dying weeks.”
Dunleavy bluntly urged the royals to sever all ties with the Sussexes, arguing that it would diminish their influence. “If they’re not former royals and can’t keep referring to that, then all Meghan’s little schemes to make money are not worth anything,” she added.
These comments follow claims by royal expert Hilary Fordwich, who asserted that Prince William has effectively banned his brother Harry from returning to royal duties.
“It is widely known within the family that Prince William has laid down an absolute ban on Harry returning in any way, shape or form into his former royal family fold,” Fordwich stated in an interview with Fox News.
Fordwich noted that while King Charles may be more inclined to reconcile, Prince William remains steadfast in his decision due to Harry’s public actions and statements, including releasing his memoir “Spare” and involvement in Netflix productions.
The remarks come shortly after Prince Harry received the Pat Tillman Award for Service at the ESPY Awards, where he appeared with Meghan Markle, hosted by Serena Williams.
