Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Leads Michigan Rally in Mocking Kamala Harris with Call-and-Response Joke
Robert F. Kennedy Jr., at a rally in Walker, Michigan, this week, engaged his audience in a lively call-and-response joke aimed at Vice President Kamala Harris.
Speaking at the Falk Productions manufacturing facility on Friday during a campaign event hosted by former President Donald Trump, Kennedy humorously criticised Harris for frequently referencing her middle-class upbringing when responding to challenging questions.
Kennedy quipped that Harris often sidesteps accountability by saying, “I was born in the middle class.” He then engaged the crowd in the joke, leading them in a series of back-and-forth chants.
“The next time your boss asks you why you were late for work, what will you say?” Kennedy prompted, to which the audience responded, “I was born in the middle class!”
He continued, “And the next time your wife asks you why you didn’t take out the garbage, what are you gonna say?” The crowd echoed once again, “I was born in the middle class!”
Kennedy’s remarks came shortly after similar comments from Republican vice presidential nominee Sen. JD Vance, who also mocked Harris for her tendency to bring up her middle-class roots when asked about critical issues such as inflation and border security.
The rally highlighted a recurring theme among political figures who criticise Harris for what they see as deflective responses during essential discussions. Kennedy’s joke was enthusiastically received by the Michigan crowd, reflecting the broader discontent among some voters regarding Harris’s rhetoric.
