Los Angeles, CA – Rihanna is making it clear that she won’t let the pressures of celebrity status dictate her life.
In her Harper’s Bazaar March 2025 cover story, the 37-year-old singer discussed the “isolating” nature of fame, emphasizing her desire to live a normal life with her family.
Rejecting the “Rapunzel Life”
The “Diamonds” hitmaker explained that she and her loved ones prefer to remain engaged with the public rather than living in seclusion. “We like to eat with people.

We like to shop with people. We like to walk the streets with people,” she told the outlet. “I don’t like a private room. I don’t have them shut down stores. I don’t like the Rapunzel life.”
Calling fame “very isolating” and “lonely,” Rihanna questioned, “What am I protecting myself from?”

A$AP Rocky and the Importance of Staying Grounded
The “Love on the Brain” singer, who has been in a relationship with rapper A$AP Rocky since 2019, emphasized how their family life and simple joys help them stay grounded. The couple shares two sons, RZA (2) and Riot Rose (9 months).
“That’s a big thing for us and actually a really big thing for him,” she said of spending time in everyday places.
Rocky often reminds her, “No matter how hard everything is that we’re dealing with in our life, in our careers and as parents, remember when we were friends? Remember when we just used to have fun as friends?”

Supporting A$AP Rocky During His Trial
Rihanna and Rocky’s tight-knit bond has been in the spotlight recently, as she publicly supported him during his assault trial. The case concluded with a not guilty verdict on Tuesday.

The “We Found Love” singer was frequently seen at the trial, despite reports that Rocky didn’t want her there.
His lawyer, Joe Tacopina, revealed that the rapper preferred Rihanna to stay away, explaining, “The trial is not about Rihanna.”

However, Rihanna insisted on standing by her partner, allegedly telling the attorney, “You know, Joe, wild horses aren’t gonna keep me away.” Tacopina added that she informed him to let Rocky know she was coming and to deal with it.

As Rihanna continues to balance family, fame, and personal freedom, her unwavering commitment to living life on her own terms remains stronger than ever.
