Boebert denies punching her ex-husband and is threatening legal action against him for making false claims. Boebert’s aide told The Daily Beast that Jayson was being disrespectful and lewd and had become an “a—hole” before the alleged incident occurred.

Jayson has a history of public indecency and lewd exposure, while Boebert has been arrested in the past for minor offences, including disorderly conduct and missing court summons.

American Muckrakers, an anti-Boebert super PAC, first reported the alleged altercation. Boebert has been involved in previous high-profile quarrels, including a bathroom shouting match with Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene and an incident in which she was seen on surveillance footage appearing to grope her then-boyfriend’s crotch mid-show during a performance of the musical “Beetlejuice”.
