Queen Camilla has reportedly advised King Charles III to avoid meeting with his estranged son, Prince Harry, during the Duke of Sussex’s current visit to London.

The advice comes as the 40-year-old prince returned to the UK for a series of charity engagements, including presenting a WellChild Award on Monday night.

Despite being in London at the same time as his father, the king does not appear to have a royal reunion on his schedule.

According to reports, Queen Camilla has urged her husband to refrain from seeing Harry to avoid unnecessary stress as he battles cancer.

A close friend of Camilla told The Daily Beast that the queen has been a strong advocate for King Charles to slow down and prioritise his health.

“The last thing she wants him to do is get stressed out over a meeting with Harry,” the source explained, underscoring the health concerns surrounding the monarch in recent months.

King Charles, 75, was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year, which led to Prince Harry flying to the UK in February to see his father.

However, this visit will likely not result in a second meeting between father and son. The king, currently staying at his residence in Scotland, is focused on resting and preparing for an official trip to Australia later in the month.

Reports suggest that King Charles has no plans to travel to London during Harry’s stay.

His schedule reflects his need for downtime ahead of his busy international commitments, which are expected to take a toll on his health.

Despite Camilla’s concerns, insiders indicate that King Charles is eager to reconcile with Harry.

According to a friend of the king, his Christian beliefs and recent health scare have only deepened his desire for peace within the royal family. “He wants this settled, not just because he loves both his sons, but because it has been so destabilising for the monarchy,” the source said.

Tensions between Prince Harry and the royal family have been high since the Duke and Duchess of Sussex stepped back from royal duties in 2020. Their subsequent interviews and Harry’s memoir, Spare, have only further strained relationships within the family, particularly with Charles and his brother, Prince William.

Although reconciliation has been discussed, concrete plans have yet to be made for a meeting. Earlier this year, Prince Harry publicly expressed disappointment at not meeting his father during a brief trip to the UK in May. Still, he remains open to the possibility of a future meeting.

Harry’s current trip to the UK is centred around charity work, including his long-standing support of WellChild, an organisation that helps children with severe health conditions. His appearance at the WellChild Awards marks one of his few public engagements in Britain since relocating to California.

Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace has remained silent on the issue, with no official statements released regarding any potential meeting between King Charles and Prince Harry. In recent years, the palace has maintained a policy of staying quiet on personal family matters.

As King Charles continues focusing on his health and upcoming commitments, the possibility of a reunion with Prince Harry remains uncertain. Both sides have acknowledged the need for reconciliation, but health concerns and royal duties will take precedence.

The ongoing rift between Prince Harry and the royal family continues to be a source of tension for the monarchy, with the public watching closely for any signs of healing. For now, however, a father-son meeting will have to wait.
